STL to Tetons and Idaho June 8 - 14th
June 8
The first driving day was the beginning of this adventure, heading to (near) Lincoln, NE. Upon waking the next morning we discovered that we were being protected by the Ghost Busters mobile in a neighboring parking lot.

We made our way to Cheyenne, WY and stayed in Happy Jack Recreational Area at Yellow Pine campground. It’s a place where the road gets smaller and smaller with each turn. It was a nice change in weather (nice and cool) since we were about 8,000+ feet in the Medicine Bow National Forest.
Note... for next time we are in the area… A place we would like
to revisit is Curt Gowdy State Park. There are two reservoirs with about 17
campgrounds. Without reservations there was no way of getting into this
recreational area.. The views from the camp spots look great.

Arriving at the Tetons. We went up through Togwotee pass (9500+ feet, snow line 7200 feet in the Tetons) where the snow caps are still plentiful. We also passed by the grave of Sacajawea (off of hwy 287) and the over the Continental Divide twice.

We never get tired of seeing the Grand Tetons for the first
time, again. We have been to this area several times and it’s one of the most
awe inspiring places in the lower 48 states.'
Going into Jackson to experience the Cowboy Bar and then
dinner at Thai Me Up & Melvin Brewing Company (which is coming to West St. Louis County).
June 12
Touring Grand Teton National Park with stops at Jenny and Jackson Lake.

The plan for today is hanging at the campground for a little R & R with warm breezes and full sunshine. Today was about enjoying endless views of those grand peaks and smoked BBQ.

Leaving the Grand Tetons and heading West through Idaho.
Not even to Alaska yet and a large rock has put a half dollar size chip in the windshield (it looks much like a spider)...waiting on mobile repair in Idaho Falls, ID.
Repair is complete, dinner purchased, and shopping done and now back on the road to Twin Falls, ID and then Boise for some rest.
